  1. I think I understand Berger, though I would say "watching" almost as much as "listening", for me fires the interest in attempting to understand.
    I grew up in a world of alien tales, it appeared, in a subtly different language that purported to be my own.
    I didn't grok this until I discovered Colin Wilson's "The Outsider " and Herman Hesse's "Steppenwolf."
