"This week, after you’ve fed yourself and taken a nap and paid your rent, use all the energy left over for watching the way your take up space in the world, for being gentle with the people around you, for being as generous as you can with your good thoughts. It’s a week for listening and doing favors and sharing everything you can. It’s a week for cultivating feelings of kindness in your own heart, for tending to them carefully, for watching them grow in your heart like a garden, like a field, like a forest."

sometimes i skip workouts to eat burgers and drink beer.
sometimes i make really bad decisions at 2am.
sometimes i love more than i am loved.
sometimes i fall asleep with all of my eye make up on.
sometimes i fuck up.
sometimes i’m supremely on point.
sometimes i get so hopped up on coffee it’s insane.
sometimes i play beautiful music.
sometimes i do absolutely nothing.
but most times…. i have a really good time.

Libra: This is a week for indulging in all of your weird curiosity, it’s a week for seeing as much of your world as you can, it’s a week for going out and moving through your town. This week, the world has strange and beautiful things to show in the concrete of your sidewalk, in the clouds, in your friends’ bright faces. This week, let your curiosity live, let it grow strong and wild, let it run in wide loops and circles through your life; it’s the thing that can make your world bearable, the thing that can help you live.

"Yoga, as a way of life and a philosophy, can be practiced by anyone with inclination to undertake it, for yoga belongs to humanity as a whole. It is not the property of any one group or any one individual, but can be followed by any and all, in any corner of the globe, regardless of class, creed or religion."

Lovely article from Judith Hanson Lasater on home practice...

"I don't have a rigid view of what my practice is going to be. My practice needs to listen to my life. We're trying to make our life listen to our practice. So let your practice conform to your life. Don't make it something outside the boundaries of where you are and what you're feeling and what you're needing. "

No place like home...

I let it go. It’s like swimming against the current. It exhausts you. After a while, whoever you are, you just have to let go, and the river brings you home.
