patience

Getting to know yourself through movement is not like instant coffee.
You gotta grow the beans,
Pick them
Dry them
Roast them
Cool them properly
Grind them
Brew the coffee
Warm the cup
Add the milk
And then you realise you prefer tea.

It's a process!

'All it takes is practice and patience, practice and patience'

This is Synchronized swimming (1958, Helen M. Cardan)

The film was found in the Chicago Film Archives' Chicago Public Library Collection and is a 1950s instructional film that demonstrates the basic strokes used in synchronized swimming.

My favorite quote...
'The most perfect position in the world is useless, unless you know what to do with it'

Just because the body rests quietly doesn't mean the mind will settle into stillness too.
Be patient, and be prepared for the days when every inch of you rebels.

Nothing valuable can be lost by taking time!

3 Things i've learnt this morning..

1. Bruce Lee was the 1958 Hong Kong Cha-Cha Champion. Smooth.

2. Age is of no importance, unless you are a cheese. mmmmmmmmm cheese...
3. Some days, whoever you are, every inch or your body will rebel and that's OK. Be patient.

This is one more piece of advice I have for you: don’t get impatient. Even if things are so tangled up you can’t do anything, don’t get desperate or blow a fuse and start yanking on one particular thread before it’s ready to come undone. You have to figure it’s going to be a long process and that you’ll work on things slowly, one at a time.
