Freedom.

However liberating something may have previously been for you, cling to it and it's just another dead end, a hollow belief or rigid posture.
Keep questioning.
Keep researching.
Only stick with the dogma is it's truly serving you.
And have fun!

Movement Research

a well ordered nervous system indeed...
Really interested in transitions at the moment in whatever form my movement practice takes each day. Where I can I'm trying to practice making my movements flow efficiently without looking fragmented and disjointed.  It's an art!

Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.

Freedom

We experience our bodies as an integrated whole and yoga helps us to experience that whole moment by moment. With practice we can wake up to the details of that experience and become interested in the way we feel and respond to different shapes, movement, patterns and the emotions that arise as a result.

We may even find that as we learn to inhabit our bodies more fully we become more fully conscious of ourselves in every aspect of life. FREEDOM.

Dance

A constant inspiration.
For me Dance IS freedom.

Inspiration

What inspires YOU to move?

This blog (and my other one) is a rolling sketchbook of the things that make me think, laugh and inspire me to do more.

I think taking inspiration mostly from within the field you are immersed in often just results in repackaging rather then an evolution of ideas so i'm always looking, as much as possible, outside of my own yoga realm.
Since my number 1 intention when moving is always freedom and function there is alot to be learned from all 'movement specialisms' and i'm only just beginning...

For my last week of posts this year I thought I should concentrate on what inspires me the most (at the moment anyway) Curiosities for the year ahead, if you like...
