Practice.
When moving what do you chose to focus on?
The small details or the bigger picture?
Watch how your attention shifts between the two.
What happens to the movement when your focus is broken? Can you keep bringing it back to the task in hand?
It is the moment by moment focus on how you feel as you are feeling it that will keep you safe.

"Each one of us has lived through some devastation, some loneliness, some
weather superstorm or spiritual superstorm, when we look at each other
we must say, I understand. I understand how you feel because I have been
there myself. We must support each other and empathize with each other
because each of us is more alike than we are unalike. "

I feel, therefore I am.
According
to Descartes' famous dualist theory, human beings were composed of
physical bodies and immaterial minds. Spinoza disagreed. In ''The
Ethics,'' his masterwork, published after his death in 1677, he argued
that body and mind are not two separate entities but one continuous
substance.
As for Descartes' view of the mind as a reasoning
machine, Spinoza thought that was dead wrong. Reason, he insisted, is
shot through with emotion. More radical still, he claimed that thoughts
and feelings are not primarily reactions to external events but first
and foremost about the body. In fact, he suggested, the mind exists
purely for the body's sake, to ensure its survival.
For his
beliefs, Spinoza was vilified and -- for extended periods -- ignored.
Descartes, on the other hand, was immortalized as a visionary. His
rationalist doctrine shaped the course of modern philosophy and became
part of the cultural bedrock....

"Boxing is a beautiful thing. It's a triumph of a persons soul over there fears, over their anxieties."
Some of the benefits of this movement stuff are hard to articulate without heavy use of nutty metaphor and the like. I'm especially fond of the mental and physical feeling of spaciousness it creates within.
I do yoga because it makes me feel happy on the inside. It's one of the most precious tools I've ever been given. I teach yoga because I want other people to have that tool too.

"... exercise is not purely physical, as if we might carve off
the flesh, leaving the spirit behind. And this is a crucial
philosophical message: of wholeness. The human condition involves a
continual to-and-fro between the body and the mind. In fact, the nouns
make these aspects of self seem more divided than they are. Thinking is
embodied, and acting is mindful. We are not a ghost in a machine, to use
philosopher Gilbert Ryle's phrase: we are bodies, and these bodies are
conscious."
